I care a little about football. Week 2

Pixie League week 2. I posted the guessionale (guess + rationale) on Sophzilla. Why put worthless content on only one place? Also, I don't want the five readers of my blog (two are my parents) to miss it.

My picks

Since it's kind of a long blog entry and something that I think will be fun to share with my family, I've created my Pixie League blog entry at my family blog site, The Eclectic Mix. Pixie League

So, I am in a football picks league thingy. Yes, I'm sure that is the official name. How did this come about? I was just joking around with Maria, Laura and Pastor Mary Brown about this league and next thing I know it was decided I was going to play. Let me tell you why that's funny.

1. I don't understand football. I've tried, but I just don't get it. I think the game is really silly. Down belongs on a duck.
2. I don't like football. Know how sometime when you play a new game and you don't know what you're doing it's fun to join in anyway, maybe cheer a little? Yeah, I don't see football that way.
3. I don't like the Vikings. I'm a Minnesota girl, born and bred, and I have never liked the Vikings. No real reason, I just don't like them. There, now you know my dirty little secret.

So, now I'm in this league which Pastor Mary Brown calls the Pixie League and Maria decided that I have to pick the winners each week based on something graphic related and then tell you why. Gotta do what the boss says. (Just to give you some art, too... My team name is Pixel Pixie and I had my son draw up a team logo for me. left. Thanks, Patrick!)

Tonight I made my first pick: The Saints over the Vikings. The reasons? Neither logos are much to write home about (I don't like the angry viking guy, though), but I think black and gold can be a sharp color combination and looks good on TV. I also think the Viking road uniforms are as unflattering as you can possibly get (white bottom, white top) and when wore skin tight on large, round men... Let's just say my eyes need to be cleaned if I accidentally catch a game. And really, read number three, above. I think that says why I will usually pick the other team over the Vikings all season long.

Zaccheus

Today Kelsey told us that "Wee Care Daycare" was named after a professor named "Wee," which no one knows. We all think its because its for little children.

Kelsey then said, "I wish his first name was Zaccheus."
